With a Master's degree in Economic Law and International Business from Georgetown University and dual citizenship in the Dominican Republic and Spain, my experience spans various roles, including active involvement in private sector guilds and leading sustainability efforts in responsible consumption and production. I've also contributed to global development through work at international organizations like the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) and the United Nations. Legal Associate Officer - Consultant

Inter-American Development Bank (IADB) / Inter-American Investment Corporation (IIC) (2021-Present)

  • Drafted, negotiated and reviewed legal documents related to the origination and portfolio management for projects of the IIC for the Corporates and Infrastructure Legal Department (CIL-GCL); supported the financial closing of projects preparing documentation; and managed timely provision of official documents required for IIC loans or investments.

LEGAL CONSULTANT - PARALEGAL

Interamerican Development Bank (IADB) Administrative Tribunal HQ | February 2017 - December 2017

  • Performed legal research, systematically organized and catalogued hundreds of cases processed by the IADBAT, the World Bank Group, and the Organization of American States to develop an integrated database of various jurisdictions related to conflict resolution, named as IADB AT Case Digest, and provided legal advice on institutional legal matters.

  • Managed and oversaw a range of financial and institutional activities within the organization to guarantee its smooth financial and institutional development. Some of these activities included preparing annual budgets, planning monthly work goals and objectives, as well as working in partnership with internal corporate board members, public sector entities and with external organizations to plan workshops and conferences with innovative solutions for the private sector in DR.
  • Engaged in the biggest voluntary private sector partnership and alliance for circular economy project (Nuvi), focused on developing more effective and sustainable business practices related to plastic production, consumption, and education for waste disposal in the country.
  • Drafting Commission Member, Waste Management Act (Dominican Republic): Contributed to the drafting and formulation of the Waste Management Act through active participation in the commission.
  • Organizer, Virtual UNLEASH (Dominican Republic, 2020): Initiated and coordinated the virtual adaptation of UNLEASH in the Dominican Republic through NGO Adiplast. Successfully engaged over 40 participants from the Dominican Republic to partake in the program.

With a deep interest in intellectual property, I advocate for fair compensation and protection of creative works.
